offering in-person and Telehealth, Sacramento, California
I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker with diverse experience working with individuals across the lifespan, including infants, toddlers, children, adolescents, families, and adults. Raised in San Francisco, CA, I draw on my unique background as a Nicaraguan American to bring cultural humility and understanding to my practice. Being fluent in Spanish, I can effectively support Spanish-speaking clients.
I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from UMass Global and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from San Francisco State University. I am passionate about integrating my academic knowledge with my lived experiences to offer holistic support to those in need.
Before joining Guillaume Marriage and Family Counseling, I gained valuable experience as a social worker for children aged 0-3 with developmental delays and worked with children and adolescents in crisis, providing behavioral coaching and support. I have also facilitated support groups and offered counseling services to survivors of domestic violence, further deepening my understanding of trauma and resilience.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) techniques. I take a client-centered, strength-based, and trauma-informed approach, focusing on empathy and creating a safe, compassionate space for clients to explore their challenges and growth. I am dedicated to meeting clients where they are on their healing journey and supporting them with respect and understanding.
If you are seeking a compassionate and skilled therapist to help navigate life's challenges, I would be honored to work with you in a collaborative and supportive manner.
We specialize in maternal mental health and paternal mental health.
