I am a dedicated Latino Studies major with a deep passion for community service and social justice. Born to Honduran and Nicaraguan parents and raised in the city of San Francisco, CA, I have always been motivated by my minority background to advocate for those in need. Being bilingual in Spanish and English has enabled me to bridge cultural gaps and connect with diverse communities effectively. I have gained extensive experience volunteering at clinics and community centers serving underserved populations, where I witnessed firsthand the transformative impact of compassionate care. In addition to my volunteer work, I have worked as a behavioral therapist for children on the autism spectrum, helping them navigate their unique challenges and to thrive. This role not only sharpened my clinical skills but also reinforced my commitment to improving the well-being of marginalized individuals. My academic focus in Latino Studies deepens my understanding of the cultural, social, and political issues that affect minority groups, and I strive to integrate this knowledge into practical initiatives that promote inclusivity and empowerment. Driven by a passion for helping others and a desire to contribute to positive social change, I am eager to continue making a meaningful impact in the fields of social work and community development.
We specialize in maternal mental health and paternal mental health.
