Electronic Privacy Notice Guillaume Marriage and Family Counseling’s policy is to provide its Notice of Privacy Practices to potential and new patients at the first point of contact, which is often via our Client Portal. Guillaume Marriage and Family Counseling will send a copy of its Notice of Privacy Practices and request the patient’s acknowledgment of receipt of the notice. If such acknowledgment is not received, a paper notice will be provided at their first visit.
Your privacy is important to us, and you can trust that our sessions, as well as any of your personal information, is always held in the strictest of confidence. Additionally, anything you transmit over our website is highly secure, and stored data is HIPAA-compliant.
Your confidentiality is important to us. Information disclosed to us including the therapy or consulting relationship will be kept confidential. We will not release or disclose your information without your knowledge or permission. However, there are some exceptions to this, as we are mandated reporter to disclose certain types of abuse to proper legal authorities, including instances of suspected child, disabled adults, or elder abuse, or when a client presents a serious danger of violence toward himself or herself or another person.
We are in the business of promoting safety within the home and our main purpose is to support women to keep themselves and their families safe. Our main objective is to help by providing you with needed support, as you design a plan to keep your families safe. We understand that many families, especially immigrant families, in abusive situations do not seek help because of fear of losing their children/families. We are here to help you, educate and provide clarity, support and linkage to resources.
