Sneha Rao Ennolikara

THERAPIST, SERVING CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS

Sneha Rao Ennolikara (formerly Sneha Rao), Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC)

Hi there!

My name is Sneha (Snay-ha), and I am an Associate Professional Counselor in California, after graduating with a Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand Canyon University. My foundational goal is to create a safe therapeutic space for clients to experience empowerment, acceptance and significance, to attain their goals, and to establish skills that they can utilize to reach their best potential. I am multilingual and am able to offer therapy in English, Hindi and Konkani.

My passion is to help clients break barriers, shine light on their blind spots, learn healthy coping mechanisms and begin to heal in their own way and at their own pace. I am ready to meet you where you are at, whether it is the beginning of your journey, the middle of your journey, whether you want to talk to someone or have someone sit with you in silence. I am here for you.

As an Asian-American immigrant, I provide valuable insight and a space for understanding of the diverse nuances that are part of being an older child in the family and having lived in another country. I’m also actively aware of the stigma that mental health plays in Asian cultures and the need there is to break down the generational trauma and highlight the emotional presence needed within a family.

I have worked with individuals, families, parents, immigrants, LGBTQ+ and couples from various walks of life and understand that every single person I meet has a story of their own. My background includes working in career counseling for at-risk individuals, mental health counseling in a community based non-profit setting, co-parenting and parallel parenting support groups, to name a few. I specialize in providing support through various modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Change Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS).

In my personal life, I am a wife, dog mom, daughter, sister, friend, immigrant (and a human being), all of which have shaped me into the therapist that I am today. In my free time, I enjoy experiencing life such as trying new cuisines, learning new languages or exploring new places.

I look forward to being part of your journey soon!
