Rebecca Artrip, MA, Professional Counselor Associate (R10505)

Hello, my name is Rebecca Artrip. I am a board registered Professional Counselor Associate who is passionate about walking alongside individuals as they pursue healing, growth, and transformation. I provide services under the clinical supervision of Nahomie Guillaume, LMFT (T1492).

Life can be overwhelming at times, leaving us feeling blindsided and alone when storms of life hit. My goal is to meet you where you are and provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can be your authentic self without fear of criticism. This is a place to share your story, feel heard, and be empowered as you gain the tools and coping skills needed to make the changes you desire. With each step toward healing, you begin to reclaim ownership of the areas of your life that once felt challenging.

I earned my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Licensed Professional Counseling at Corban University, graduating in 2024. My graduate training included internships at Salem Free Clinic, where I counseled individuals from diverse backgrounds, broad age ranges, and socioeconomics. Also, at Corban University Counseling Center, I counseled and supported college students with various challenges-traumatic lived experiences, wanting to differentiate from family of origin, helping them to connect the dots back to their environment, with the intent of making sense of a dysfunctional family system and not demonize parents, and take a look at any abandonment issues that may be linked to attachment disorders, stress, anxiety and any troubling life transitions.

In general, following graduation, I was offered a paid position as a pre-licensed counselor at Corban University until April 2025. My professional experience also includes many years in the mental health field, including with Marion County Adult Behavioral Health and the Psychiatric Crisis Center.

My counseling approach is compassionate and empathetic, yet clinically grounded, drawing from Person-Centered, Trauma-Informed, Attachment-Theory, and Strengths-Based modalities. I aim to help clients explore emotions to examine and identify root causes of distress, mental, and/or emotional challenges, gain necessary skills and tools to cope if needed, and build lasting resilience.

My passion for counseling is deeply personal. After my own history of several traumatic lived experiences, and many years walking hand-n-hand through seasons of guilt and shame, I was introduced to Jesus and started my own personal faith journey in 2007. I also took many years to do deep work within myself and through that development, I was given a strong desire to help others find hope and healing. Whether you are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, or difficult relationships, I would be honored to walk with you toward health, healing, and wholeness.
