About Guillaume Counseling
Guillaume Counseling is a group practice serving clients in Oregon and California and led by Nahomie Moise Guillaume, MS, MBA, LMFT. The practice is incorporated in Oregon as Guillaume Counseling Services, P.C., doing business as Guillaume Counseling, and in California as Guillaume Marriage and Family Counseling of California, P.C., doing business as Guillaume Counseling and Guillaume Marriage and Family Counseling.
We provide counseling services to individuals, couples, and families, with a focus on maternal and paternal mental health, anxiety and mood disorders, and relationship concerns. Our practice serves adults, children, and adolescents, with specialized experience supporting families with children ages 0–12, as well as individuals and couples navigating premarital and marital relationships.
Our approach emphasizes early intervention, prevention, and treatment for individuals experiencing mild to moderate mental health concerns. Services are integrative and tailored to each client's needs following a comprehensive assessment, utilizing evidence-based models such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Strategic/Structural Family Therapy, the Gottman Method, and Prepare/Enrich.
Our services are primarily secular (non-religious) and evidence-based in nature, and we work with clients of all belief systems, including those who identify as non-religious, spiritual, agnostic, or of any faith tradition. We incorporate each client's individual values, worldview, and sense of meaning into the therapeutic process in a way that is clinically sound, culturally responsive, and respectful of the client's preferences.
Faith-based counseling is available upon request for clients who wish to incorporate their personal beliefs, values, spirituality, or faith tradition into the counseling process. Services are tailored to the individual client and may reflect Christian, non-Christian, interfaith, spiritual, or other belief-based perspectives, as clinically appropriate and requested by the client.
Christian counseling is also available upon request and is provided by select therapists. With the client's informed consent and at the client's request, Christian counseling may incorporate biblical principles, prayer therapy, and prayer support. Prayer therapy refers to the intentional integration of prayer as part of the therapeutic process to support the client's treatment goals within a Christian counseling framework. Prayer support refers to offering prayer with or for a client as a source of spiritual encouragement, comfort, or support and may occur during or outside of a therapy session, as clinically appropriate and requested by the client. Clients may request a provider whose approach aligns with their preferences.
We are committed to serving a diverse population and strive to create an inclusive and respectful environment for individuals of all backgrounds, including varying cultural, socioeconomic, cultural, religious, and belief systems.
We take a holistic approach to care by providing individual therapy, couples counseling, family therapy, group therapy, workshops, and care coordination. When appropriate and with client consent, we collaborate with healthcare providers, schools, community organizations, and other professionals to support each client's treatment goals and overall well-being.
