Jeremy K Feigenbaum, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #145319)

My name is Jeremy K Feigenbaum. I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and provide services under the clinical supervision of Nahomie Guillaume, LMFT (#48571)

I have done my own emotional healing, therapeutic work for the last 20 years. I believe that effective therapists do their own work as well. From this personal work, I have learned how to effectively hold space for others and to process through difficult situations and emotions.

Psychotherapeutic healing is the act of creating and maintaining a safe container where we discover, embrace our humanity, and heal our trauma and wounds. It’s an accepting and compassionate space to face our shadows and experience our grief and other painful emotions as well as our light, joys, and passions. Within a therapeutic relationship, with a therapist, is a place where we are supported, encouraged, and empowered to be and live authentically who we truly are.

My primary therapeutic foundation is humanistic and somatic psychology. The humanistic approach involves the practices of authenticity, unconditional acceptance, empathy, and compassion with the client and focus on meeting clients’ needs.

Somatic/body-centered psychotherapy involves a mindfulness approach that consists of unity of mind and body, experiencing all our bodily sensations and emotions, utilizing sound, movement, and breath for healing, and dissolving energetic blocks in the body.

I am skillful in working with individuals, youth, couples, groups and families in resolving issues and getting everyone’s primary needs met.

I am particularly passionate about doing couple’s/marital therapy including working with new parents.

Issues that I am experienced working with include depression, general anxiety/panic attacks, social anxiety, performance anxiety, disabilities, shame & low self-esteem, trauma, career changes, chronic pain, relationship/ friendship
