Impacting the world through tangible hope, healing, and support to families where children can grow in a safe, secure, and healthy environment.
We are an avenue of hope, healing, and support for families by working directly with individuals or couples to foster a culture of love, respect, health, and safety within the home. Through mental health and relationship counseling, we integrate faith, science, and wisdom to serve diverse communities, including BIPOC communities and communities of faith, with a special focus on interfaith, intercultural and multiethnic couples and families, immigrants, and parents of young children. Our culture-specific services prioritize the specific needs and languages of our clientele.

This professional corporation, including Guillaume Marriage and Family Counseling of California, P.C., Guillaume Supportive Solutions, LLC and GKAVAD, Inc., are the ministry of the President, Nahomie Guillaume, LMFT, proving hope, healing, and support to clients from all walks of life, and integrating faith, science and wisdom to show humanity from all walks of life the goodness of God through actions, and when appropriate through words. This is done by building a team of diverse staff members, from all walks of life, with both lived experiences and/or professional experiences to serve a diverse clientele from all ethnic, social-economic, political, religious/spiritual and nonreligious/nonspiritual backgrounds.
Guillaume Counseling Services, P.C. is a group practice specializing in maternal mental health and paternal mental health, serving individuals and families struggling with anxieties and mood disorders, with children ages 0-5. We specialize in mental health and relationship counseling for couples and individuals in the early stages of their pre-marital or marital relationships, with or without children, as well as general relationship problems and functional life issues. We make a distinction between clients struggling with mental health versus mental illness. We provide early intervention and prevention services and mental health treatment to clientele with mild to moderate (Tier I and Tier II) levels of functioning. Services are integrative and blended. We integrate different evidence-based treatment models and our innovative approach, based on the client’s individualized treatment needs, after a thorough assessment.
We utilize primary evidence-based models. This includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief-Therapy, and Strategic-Structural Family Therapy, and the Gottman Method. Christian Counseling and Prayer Therapy are available to those who identify as Christians, and faith-based counseling is available to all clients who wish to incorporate faith/religion in their treatment. Prayer support is available to all clients. We offer a blended approach to therapy, which includes the flexibility of open-ended and structured sessions format. We have a holistic view, meaning we work collaboratively with other professionals and community resources to meet the client’s needs, including care coordination, referral, and linkage. We provide individual counseling, family counseling, couples counseling, group therapy, and workshops for essential life skills coaching.
We strive to be flexible and innovative while utilizing research-based models to meet your individual needs. We use an open-ended format and let your overall presentation and flow guide the session. We attempt to follow your need and gently guide you as needed. Modeling and storytelling are integrated parts of our style, and we may share our own or others’ stories to help create deeper understanding. Below are some of the main models we may utilize with this approach:
We have two different treatment options:
This track is covered by most insurance plans so long as you meet medical necessity, which includes a mental health diagnosis. Under this track, we design a family therapy plan around the family member with a mental health diagnosis. Couple counseling is not covered under this plan.
This track is self-pay only. Under this track, the model is flexible and designed to address any life issues causing distress. A full assessment will take place, and we will formulate a treatment plan. The only requirements for service are the client’s willingness and ability to pay.
