Karen Amy Romo
Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #164527)
Hello, I’m Karen, I typically work with clients who are navigating past experiences with trauma, including domestic violence, assault, or substance use. I believe healing begins with feeling seen, understanding how experiences shape us, and developing tools to support and empower us as we move forward in life. I provide services under the clinical supervision of Nahomie Guillaume, LMFT (#T1492).
My approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, and strength-based, helping individuals recognize their resilience while building the tools needed for lasting change. Together, we explore how past experiences shape present challenges while developing skills through education, self-compassion, and evidence-based strategies. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can deepen their self-understanding, reconnect to lost parts of self, and move toward a life that feels meaningful and authentic. I work with adults, couples and children.
