Kenyai (Kayo) O’Neal

Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #152748)

Hello, my name is Kenyai O’Neal, but please feel free to call me Kayo. I am a board registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist(AMFT) at Guillaume Marriage and Family Counseling. I provide services under the clinical supervision of Nahomie Guillaume, (LMFT #T1492) and Kristi Abbott, (LCSW #65194).

My areas of specialization include relational gestalt, psychosynthesis, liberation psychology, creative expression, and solution-focused approaches. I primarily work with individuals who identify as queer, neurodivergent, and as people of color. I am available to provide support for individuals, couples, adolescents, and teenagers.

My approach is centered on establishing a trusting relationship through rapport-building. Once that foundation is in place, we can begin exploring the topics and concerns you are ready to discuss. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is a vital component of effective therapy, and I am committed to ensuring that I am the right fit for your needs.

I also see therapy as a safe space for self-exploration—examining the positive, challenging, and uncomfortable aspects of oneself in order to foster understanding and change. I believe that a clear understanding of who you are makes it easier to set boundaries and say no to aspects that do not serve you.

If my approach resonates with you, do reach out to the office or self-register to schedule an appointment with me. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you.
